Today has been an absolutely perfect day from beginning to end. Most importantly because my little, lovely turns 3 today, and we spent a very enjoyable morning celebrating her.
Then I went to a fabulous World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP) in The King's Garden for a few hours in the sparkling sunlight with a whole bunch of lovely and happy knitters.
It was sweet Slavi who had arranged it all via the Copenhagen Knitters group on Ravelry and through Facebook.
And I very much enjoyed myself. I did not knit very much - did get a bit done, but only because it felt silly to have been been at WWKIP without having knitted. In stead of knitting I got to talk to and see a lot of lovely people. And people were very interested in the I Yarn CPH t-shirts as well as the brand new mugs, and that also made me super happy.
The other day I mentioned in passing that I had gotten an idea for a place to put the I Yarn CPH "logo". Luckily I managed to bring the idea into practice, and I was able to bike to the King's Garden with this on my cargo bike.
What I had painted on the bike before was almost completely chipped off, so ... yeah, so I got this idea.
Because I had such fun I lost my sense of time (of course), and had to race back home before the birthday guests arrived. There was also a birthday cake that had to be decorated.
The Cookie Monster cupcakes the whole family made together this morning, and it was SO much fun (we had watched this youtube-video to learn how).
And the birthday cake (layer cake) is decorated as it is partly because Nova and I visited a cake decoration shop that had edible glitter. Partly because since Pinterest entered my life I have been fascinated by the cake decorating and ... maybe a tad obsessed with figuring this cake out. It was actually surprisingly easy (found a tutorial here).
