However, the idea of knitted dinos stuck in my mind and slowly turned into a design: Vestosaurus
As soon as my son discovered that I was knitting a vest with long rows of dinos, he wanted one too, and it was a fun challenge to rethink the design from bright retro to a more traditional color scheme.
The vest is knit from the bottom up and is worked in the round to the arm holes. From the armholes up the vest is worked flat, so a small part of the colorwork is worked back and forth.The colorwork is charted.
Vestosaurus has ribbing around the armholes and neck as well as along the bottom.The vest has cute button closings at both shoulder seams allowing for even the largest kid head (one such sits on own my son’s shoulders).

24 stitches per 4 inches in Dinosaur Pattern.
