Deer Dress is Out

This dress was designed as a gift for cousin Lucy and for her mom, who had a dream of dressing Lucy in a hand knit reindeer dress for Christmas.

This is the first time I’ve tried starting the design process from this angle and it was a fun challenge to create a reindeer design affects the delicate balance of the traditional motif and contemporary children's clothing design. If it makes sense.

The dress is knit seamlessly from the top down. The first part of the neck edge is knit back and forth, to ensure that the dress can fit over the head. The rest of the dress is knit in the round on circular and double pointed needles. The two-colored elements of the design are charted and the rest of the pattern instructions are written.

Deer Dress can be knit in the following sizes
½-1 (1½-2½) 3-4 (5-6) 7-8 years

Length:18 (20½, 22¾, 25¾, 28½) inches

Den er så fin og topaktuel. Det er meget sødt, at den har lidt ballonskørt over sig og så er rensdyrene rigtig søde:-)
