Dynamo Vest is Out

With some help from my favorite Lykkefant in the world, I finally managed to make my Dynamo Vest pattern ready for release via Ravelry.

Dynamo is a classic and simple ribbed vest for babies and small kids. The vest is designed to be knit seamlessly in the round. It is worked from the bottom up, split at the armholes and the the top part is knit flat. The vest is closed at the right shoulder with little buttons to make room for even the largest kid’s head.

Dynamo can be fun and colorful or calm and classic depending on yarn and button choice - and on the knitter who knits it.

Dynamo Vest
0-3 mo (6-12 mo, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, 4-5 years)

Chest Circumfence: 15 (17 1/3 , 20 1⁄2, 22, 23 2/3 )inches
Length: 11 (121⁄4, 13 1/3 , 14, 15 1/3 ) inches

28 masker per 10 cm i glatstrik.

175 (208, 273, 312, 376) yards of fingering weight yarn

I used
Arwetta Ekstra Fin Merino by Filcolana in color 954 (100% Merino; 209 meter/230 yard per 50 g)
Tosh Sock by Madelinetosh in color Magenta (100% merino; 395 yards/361 meter per 114 g)

To show that the pattern work for tiny baby vests and for larger kids as well I knit one for my Nova, who ONLY wears pink and purple at the moment.

This way I also had the opportunity knit with Tosh Sock from Madelinetosh, which I've been wanting to do for a while mostly because of the beautiful colors. As for knitting pleasure, I think I prefer the Arwetta extra fine merino as it is softer to work with.
